ok so i hear muscians have a bad rap hmm and well yes im not great in writting as you can see my strong point would be music …

   you just go up to them and have a normal conversation.
   maybe bump into them… say your apology … and pick up atheir stuff . try not to flirt, or they’ll get the wrong message.

   Generalizing like that is ignorant.

   I am a fellow musician. I do understand your question, but am imploring you to view this from another’s shoes. How do easy women appear to you???

   Tragically, aggressive women often appear to be easy. We also get a bad wrap when extending warmth through the cultural boundary. Generalizing men is just as ignorant, however safe.

   Hey, I asked a man out for coffee once, and it turned into a circus of group gossip.

   uptight and closed…. I think us guy’s are more likely to be guilty of that. The problem with ***** friends is sometimes they won’t shut up..lol(I kidd I kidd)

   It must be the way you act or something. Like with all friends you have to have a common interest. If you notice her reading or doing something your familiar with try and strike up a conversation.

   Dude, I try to talk to women too but I always end up looking down their shirts and sometimes they don’t like that.

   well how to make friends with women..have a nice conversation with them? about music? and dont come off as a guy who just wants a piece of ***..or even go up to a woman and ask if she wants to hear any of your songs..then make conversation :]

   The best answer anyone can give you is to just be yourself…don’t feel that you have to say any corny lines just to be friends or to be more…I find that people take to me more when I’m just being myself. In my experience it makes them feel more comfortable. Now with you being a musician you will really have to watch how you approach her because the majority of musicians and entertainers have a really bad rap.

   A. Is english your first language (not meant to be mean) your wording of this seems abrupt and socially akward which would account for a lot unless english isn’t your language.

   B. Many musicians and true artists in general are very poor communicators other than through their craft. And MANY DON’T like people!!

   C. Very few of the women I know are uptight and closed off unless they are being hit on by a skeezy perv. FYI if you approach a girl you don’t know at a bar she is automatically assuming you are hitting on her because that’s what drunken morons do.

   We love charming intelligent articulate men. I have as many men friends as women and no one would accuse me of being closed off.

   A whole *** is probably not uptight………maybe some work on your social skills is in order.

   EDIT: OK you seem genuine enough so here’s some thoughts…
   Women in different age groups respond very differently to different approaches. If you are a musician I would think that women musicians would be a great opportunity. They have plenty in common with you and it would be easy to find things that they would want to do with you.

   The best way to meet women is through your other guy friends. If it is hard for you to feel comfortable approaching women go out in a group with guys and girls. Maybe after work (show) and just be you, and laid back. Don’t spend more time or interest on the women as apposed to the men and they will see you aren’t being forward. Then after seeing them out often enough maybe they will cozy up to you.

   Perhaps if you didn’t sound so much like a broken record.

   Don’t treat us like a different species. How do you make friends with men? Go up and say Hi. If she gets the wrong idea, correct her. It’s really that simple. You’re not going to make friends with random women in the street, but you can certainly make friends with people you meet in work and social situations.

   Women are uptight and closed. Women nag and talk too much. Why can’t you guys keep your whining about women (in your case girls) in some kind of logical order?
