I look mid 20s-30 and women my age (I’m older) seem intimidated by me. Dating younger has it’s benefit but it would be nice to find someone my age. How do you convince someone not to be threatened because of the profession you’re in? I know the entertainment modeling biz has a certain stigma to it but not all people in that line of work are on the make.

Below are photos of me if you are a woman and I walked up to you in a [insert event of your choice here] would be inclined to talk to me or try to run away?

Btw, I know the industry I’m in is exploitive and people have the perception that everyone in it is self centered, a player, arrogant, conceited and out for themselves. But that isn’t true about everyone. I know my strengths and my qualities and I know if I wanted to I could have my way with many women but I DON’T. Just because someone knows they have a certain level of influence doesn’t mean they should abuse it. If I wanted to do that I’d go to L.A.!!!!

We are doing a secret Santa and the person I am buying for loves classical music and as for a favorite singer has listed Andrea Boceli. I am a classic rock fan, so need a little (lot) of help here. I googled it and came up with Josh Groban, Charlotte Church or Celtic Women as possible similar artists. Any suggestions on cd’s or other musicians would be helpful. Thanks and Merry Christmas!

I read a story on Yahoo several months ago about a fund that issues checks of $100 a week to musicians in New Orleans to keep them from leaving the city until the venues can be reopened.

What I’m asking it again?!?

‘Fraid so. The answers have been so helpful I have to ask again. I am working a on a book a children’s book of great female musicians (singers, composers, instrumentalists). Women who blazed the way for the female musicians of today. So I want nominations of Arabic legends, Eastern European legends, Greek legends, J-pop Legends; Percussionists, guitarists, composers, anyone you think is worthy to be in such a book etc.

Now to make it easier or harder here are some obvious choices I already submitted.

Ella Fitzgerald
Billie Holiday
Bessie Smith
Aretha Franklin
Bonnie Raitt
Etta James
Tina Turner
Koko Taylor
Joni Mitchell
Janis Joplin
Celia Cruz
Edith Piaf
Marlene Dietrich
Ofra Haza
Astrud Gilberto
Yumi Matsutoya
Faye Wong

Nominate 3 or more and list their country of origin. Only answers with three noms gets best answer. You can go to

to see the full list of nominations and submit noms there too.

Most studies show that women between US sizes 4-10 are considered most desirable to men. Most famous socialites, actresses, musicians, and other public figures are slim. Is this because being skinny indicates status?
